Bob's life

I was born in San Diego and raised in Dublin, California. The son of a WWII Navy veteran.

My older sister has lived in northern Nevada for more than four decades; over the years I would visit her and fell in love with the state. So after graduating from California State University, Sacramento, I moved to Reno in 1999. Having been wanting to make "Home means Nevada" true since I was a young man.  My daughter, her husband and their daughter live in Sparks. I regularly attend St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Reno.

My hobbies include jogging, swimming and lifting weights. Reading novels by Clive Cussler, Martin Cruz Smith and Ian Rankin. Enjoy listening to classical, jazz and country music. I love to spend time with my family, especially my granddaughter.

Visits to the Nevada Museum of Art and the occasional Aces ballgame are also fun.

Commitment to Service

I served in the U.S Navy on active duty for six years, flying missions to escort oil tankers through the Straits of Hormuz and reconnaissance flights over Iran. Later I then volunteered to serve in the U.S. Navy Reserve, retiring honorably after 20 years. I currently volunteer at St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry in Reno.
